Photo a Day 161 - Roses

Our warm October weather has bought the roses on beautifully everywhere. Adelaide is well known for its rose displays and this year the gardens are glowing with roses.

I grow mainly old heritage roses or David Austin roses as I much prefer this style to the modern bush roses, even though they are generally more prolific and colourful.  The more muted colours of the old roses suit my garden and my taste, though they tend to be more difficult to grow.

Here are a few of the current blooms.
