Photo a Day 35 - Birds at my Birdbath

The birds in the garden love the birdbath, especially when I have the sprinkler on the garden.I am linking this post with "Wild Bird Wednesday"  and  "Outdoor Wednesday".

Adelaide Rosella

New Holland Honeyeater

Red-Browed Firetail also called Red-Browed Finch

White-Browed Scrub Wren

This cute little fellow is a Thornbill, but I am not sure which one - they are all so similar. Maybe a yellow or buff rumped?  Hopefully someone can tell me.

  10. A charming series of captures, Liz. (I see you live in a pretty part of the Adelaide Hills - lucky you!!) The firetails are striking (no pun intended!) - I encountered my first and only sighting of these delightful birds during a few days break near McCracken, Victor Harbour, with English visitors last June. Clearly I need to get out more!

    1. Yes, we are lucky. We get quite large numbers of them - up to 30 in a group. They are cheery little birds.

  12. Lovely birds, and how nice that they all come to your birdbath. Quite a variety! We don't have such colorful birds like the Adelaide Rosella. I wish we had though.

  13. These are beautiful birds! When one things about it, it is amazing at the variety of birds and butterflies. I think I mention just those two because of all the colors involved...
