Weekend Reflections

Close to home today. I was sitting in the sun this morning with a welcome cup of coffee, when I happened to glance into the fishpond - and behold, reflections. Nothing special - just observations.

The verandah   post

A wicker chair.
I wonder if the fish can see reflections of us?

  1. how sweet your pond in old cask; the fishes no doubt are enjoying a touch of warmth and sunshine near the top. A lovely way to sit and observe with your caffeine; I'd like that too

  3. This is THE solution if I want to install a pond in my yard (it is not a garden : concrete was poured all over the floor, and the only green there is are my plants in pot). I dream of a pond for quite sometimes now, but as I can't dig the concrete (I'm in a rental)... Yes, I love your pond !

I'm not sure fishes see reflection of us under the water. They reconize human shape, that is sure, but is there reflection under water ?

  4. Oh the reflections are wonderful. I saw a pond the other day with Koi that were about 12 inches long.
