I recently bought myself a new camera - a Nikon Coolpix 610. It's a little compact but it has an amazing zoom and works out a lot cheaper than buying an expensive zoom lens for my Canon DSLR. I've been practising and thought I would post these shots of the vineyard which is about 200metres up the road from my house. I didn't use a tripod which would have made the photos clearer, but it does show what the zoom is like for small camera.
A good vineyard fence/trellis
And zooming in.

Awesome shots of the vineyard. Congrats on your new camera. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeletei am smiling now.. the geese you just wrote about on my post today, I was testing the zoom on my brand new Nikon P610.. to funny, we both got the same camera and posted about it same day. i have had mine a week and i am IN LOVE with it... have you tried the macro? it has the best up close i have ever seen...
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with mine too, but have to say I think the macro on my canon is better. However i love how easy the Nikon is to put in my handbag.
Deletehaha. read sandra's comment and thought, yup, someone else likes that camera! :) very cool photos - almost looks like a woven fabric. thanks, liz!
ReplyDeleteWell, I got a small Canon...and I just love the light weight of it....just totally love it. And the size. It will fit in a coat pocket easily or a man's shirt pocket...I wear men's shirts as a jacket quite often.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I can see yours does amazing shots...
Very nice! I'll add it to the list of camera idea, I need more zoom.

Always fun to use a new camera. You took some great shots here Liz.
ReplyDeleteWow you do have a good zoom on that camera. - These are great shots. They have an "abstract" feel to them.
ReplyDeleteGreat takes for vineyard fencing. I have never seen close up of those only at a distance.
ReplyDeleteGreat patterns with these vines
ReplyDeleteI think you and your camera did a super job.
