I tried putting one in the yard when we first bought this house, but it was forever drying out, probably because the birds saw our cats so they didn't bother trying to bathe here. If I get another one, it will be higher, and deeper, but there is always the possibility that our proprietary little dog would chase the birds away!<br />Beautiful photos, Liz...so colourful! We...Oh my gosh your yard-birds are just wonderful! We can't have feeders here (we live on a canal and there are no trees or cover for them, so it wouldn't do any good anyway). We chose to live on the water, but bird feeders are one of the few things I miss about our "previous life." I love seeing yours!!!
